About Slush

Background:

The Slush Factory is the preeminent online destination for comic book and pop culture content. Founded in April of 2000 by Brian Jacks and Nathan Versalle, Slush has garnered praise from a multitude of sources, including Entertainment Weekly, Shift Magazine, TechTV, and the homeless guy we let use our phones.

What Is The Slush Factory:

Muskegon, Michigan: Winter of 1999. It was a cold and dreary night as Nathan Versalle and Brian Jacks crossed the desolate Circuit City parking lot. The icy remains of the previous night's snowstorm covered the dark granite. As they trudged onwards, Brian exclaimed "Man, this is like a slush factory!"

And so it was born.

The Slush Factory is an online magazine devoted exclusively to all things Pop Culture. This includes comic books (our mainstay), music, videogames, and Hollywood (including both screen and DVD reviews).

Here at Slush we are committed to bring the best of the Pop Culture World to our readers. To fulfill this hefty goal our content includes the following: Features, Interviews, Reviews, Columns, News, and more.

Our dedicated team of writers stop at nothing to advance Slush and its readers. If there's an interview - we'll get it. If there's a book - we'll review it. If there's a column - we'll write it. If there's a monthly schedule for Daredevil - we're dreaming.

Writing For Slush:

The Slush Factory cannot exist without the dedication and knowledge of its writing staff. From the reviewers to the interviewers to the columnists, Slush strives to deliver only the highest-quality content to its readers.

If you are interested in writing for us, please send a bio on yourself along with a minimum of two writing samples to the below e-mail address. If you are applying as a reviewer, please send reviews. For a columnist, anything will do. All files must be sent in DOC, RTF or TXT Format (they can be zipped).

We promise to look at every submission that comes our way.

Note: At this time all positions are unpaid. If you wish to write for Slush, the payment is love and exposure for your excellent work.
