Mutant X Heads To DVD

ADV Films has announced a June 24, 2003 release for Mutant X: Season One, Disc 1, the first DVD volume of the syndicated television series Mutant X, co-produced by Marvel Studios and featuring Howard Chaykin as Head Writer.

Mutant X stars John Shea as "Adam," leader of a group of reluctant heroes, unwitting victims of genetic experimentation with astonishing, and sometimes deadly, powers. They are thrust into situations and secret missions to help others when conventional methods have failed. Mutant X: Season One, Disc 1 includes two complete episodes: "The Shock of the New" and "I Scream the Body Electric."

Episodes contained on the collection include:

"The Shock of the New" (Episode 101)
A top-secret human genetics program has gone awry, giving its unwitting human subjects, including Brennan and Emma, incredible special powers. The Mutant X team, led by the calm and mysterious Adam, are on a mission to protect these mutants from those who would exploit their amazing abilities.

"I Scream the Body Electric" (Episode 102)
The Genetic Security Agency, controlled by the maniacal Mason Eckhart, will stop at nothing to capture emerging mutants. Emma comes to acknowledge her own "telempathic" power and joins the Mutant X team to save her friend Brennan.

Mutant X: Season One, Disc 1 hits store with a suggested retail price of $24.98. Extras will include: commentary for "The Shock of the New"; outtakes; gallery; character profile: "Adam"; cast biography: John Shea; television promos; and ADV Previews.
