DC Announces Second LOEG TP
By Brian Jacks

The pictorial exploits of our renowned Victorian-era quintet apparently continue to delight readers, as THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN Volume 2 #4 is nearly sold out. This will mark the fourth consecutive issue of the title to sell out.

DC has now announced that the stories from the third and fourth issue of this series will be collected in THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN VOLUME 2: BUMPER COMPENDIUM EDITION PARTS 3 AND 4. Created by Messrs. Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill, this chronicle finds our intrepid heroes facing an otherworldly and seemingly unstoppable threat from the planet Mars. Scheduled to arrive in stores on February 12, this 48-page special carries a retail price of $5.95 U.S.

"We're very happy with the public's continued enthusiasm for THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP Sales & Marketing. "This new COMPENDIUM EDITION will let new readers catch up with the ongoing story before issue #5 reaches stores."

The publisher also advises retailers that THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN VOLUME 2 #5, the penultimate number in our current epic, may be reordered in advance of its publication date, and is scheduled to make its debut on February 26.

For those anxious to discover the genesis of the heroes' current travails, THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN VOLUME 2: BUMPER COMPENDIUM EDITION PARTS 1 AND 2 is still available from DC's backlist.

The team's previous triumph against adversity may be revisited in THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN TP, also to be found on our backlist. Copies of the current printing of this title may be identified by the words "Soon to be a major motion picture" boldly emblazoned upon its cover.

And for those satisfied by only the grandest of presentations, the two-volume, oversized, slipcased publication THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN: THE ABSOLUTE EDITION Volume 1 is advance-solicited in the January issue of Previews for release on June 4.
